LUMTA supplied a solar mobile light tower configuration for a mountain project in Nepal. The equipment combines four 100 W LED floodlights, a 7.5 m manual-winch mast, three 400 W solar panels and four gel batteries.

Configuration Supplied for the Nepal Project
| Project location | Mountain area, Nepal |
|---|---|
| Lighting | 4 × 100 W LED floodlights |
| Mast height | 7.5 m |
| Lifting method | Manual winch |
| Solar array | 3 × 400 W panels, 1,200 W total rated panel power |
| Battery equipment | 4 gel batteries, each rated 48 V, 200 Ah |
These details describe the supplied project configuration. For a new quotation, specify the required lighting schedule and site conditions so the battery arrangement, charging equipment and operating requirements can be reviewed together.
What to Check When Planning Lighting for a Mountain Site
The delivered configuration is a useful starting point for discussing a similar project. Site conditions still determine where a tower can be placed and how generation, storage and lighting demand should be matched.
- Shade and solar access: describe nearby slopes, trees and structures, and identify which parts of the working day the proposed position receives direct sunlight.
- Nightly lighting demand: provide the work-area dimensions, lighting tasks, operating hours and any required illuminance criteria.
- Season and temperature: include seasonal site temperatures and the months of operation when reviewing battery capacity and charging requirements.
- Placement and access: check level setup space, ground bearing conditions, overhead clearance and the route used to move equipment.
- Reserve and backup: explain how long lighting is needed during periods of limited solar charging and what backup arrangements are available.
Compare a Similar Configuration for Your Project
Review the solar mobile light tower range for other configurations. If you are still choosing a power source, compare the solar, diesel and hybrid options against your operating schedule and site access.
Choose a Current Solar Model for a New Quotation
The Nepal equipment above is a project-specific delivery. It is not identified as an S971 or S975, and its battery equipment should not be treated as the standard specification of either model.
- S971 solar manual winch light tower: review the current manual-lift option when comparing how the mast will be raised at your site.
- S975 solar electric mast light tower: review the current electric-lift option and its separately specified battery configuration.
Compare the mast operation, actual lighting load and seasonal charging conditions before choosing. A project photograph or battery nameplate alone does not establish nightly runtime.
Request a Solar Light Tower Configuration
Start with quantity, destination, application and hours per night. Mention the Nepal case if it helps explain your project. Add shading, seasonal temperatures, required low-sun reserve and delivery date if known; we can review the remaining configuration details with you.
