A mobile lighting system should be planned from the site and work task before individual tower models are selected. The goal is not simply to place the highest-output machine at the centre of the site. A useful plan considers coverage, glare, shadows, placement, operating hours, power access and movement of people and equipment.
Bring Your Site Plan to the Quotation
Send a marked drawing, the work zones to illuminate, hours per night, power or fuel access, relocation needs, quantity if known and destination. Ask for the proposed tower configuration and layout basis before finalising the purchase.
1. Mark the Areas That Require Light
Use a site drawing or marked photograph to identify work zones, access roads, entrances, loading areas, hazards and obstacles. Separate general area lighting from tasks that require more detailed visibility.
2. Define the Required Operating Schedule
Record the hours per night, days per week, project duration and whether lighting demand changes during the shift. The schedule affects diesel fuel planning, solar battery reserve and hybrid control strategy.
3. Plan Placement and Overlap
Potential tower positions depend on access, ground support, mast clearance, stabilizer space, vehicle movement and glare. Lighting from several directions can reduce deep shadows, but placement must remain safe and practical.
4. Choose the Power Strategy
Compare diesel, solar and hybrid using the same duty cycle. Include fuel or charging access, local solar resource, noise requirements, reserve target and service capability.
5. Select Mast Height and Operation
Use the telescopic lighting tower guide to compare height and lifting systems. A taller mast changes the lighting angle but must be assessed with wind, ground conditions, optics, transport and setup procedure.
6. Estimate Quantity
Use the site quantity planning guide. A project-specific layout or lighting study may be needed where illuminance targets, uniformity or safety rules are defined.
7. Confirm Commercial and Delivery Scope
| Area | Confirm before ordering |
|---|---|
| Configuration | Power system, lamps, mast, trailer, voltage and frequency |
| Site assumptions | Operating hours, environment, wind, access and placement |
| Delivery | Quantity, destination, packing, unloading and required date |
| Support | Documents, inspection, warranty scope, spare parts and service responsibility |

Planning Questions
Can tower quantity be determined from lumens alone?
No. Site dimensions, optics, mounting height, obstacles, placement, target illuminance and uniformity also affect the result.
Should power selection happen before the operating schedule is known?
No. The operating schedule is a key input for diesel fuel, solar reserve and hybrid-control planning.
